If you wanna play on the country’s biggest golf course, then you have to go to Canlubang Golf and Country Club. This course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., a world renowned golf architect. The whole course consists of 36 holes designed with wide fairways dotted with coconut trees. To make the golfing experience more true to life and harder at some points, Jones also placed man-made lakes and ravines around the course.
Bobby Jones is actually the son of legendary golf designer Robert Trent Jones. He also has the same occupation as with his brother, Rees Jones. Bobby has designed over 100 golf courses around the globe as of today.
Their course is divided into two, the North and South course. The North course has a championship design and is about 6,900 yards in area. Its course rating is 72.4, fairly high if compared among other courses in the country. The remarkable holes on this course is No. 18 and No. 9.
On the other hand, the smaller course, the South course, also has sand traps and ravines around it. Golfers are challenged on these two courses since the wind stress often blocks their calculated swings. The area covered by this golf course was once a sugar cane plantation.
